Food Bank Pickups during COVID
**The food bank will be reopening for pick ups on July 5th!**
Due to Covid, we have moved to a new model for food bank access for the time being. There will now be scheduled times for access on Mondays from 1:00-4:30pm (if this time doesn’t work for you, please contact Liz at email@example.com). There is no item limit for pickup orders.
You can book an appointment for the food bank using this booking site. You must also fill out a Campus Access Authorization form at https://forms.nscad.ca/, and do so 24 hours before your scheduled visit.
At your scheduled time, you will meet a SUNSCAD food bank assistant at the main entrance of Fountain Campus to be escorted up to the food bank. You will let them know what items you need, and they will assist you by handling the food and other items for decreased risk of contamination. In addition to regular food bank items, we will be providing tampons and pads. You will see these when you are choosing the rest of the items from the food bank. Please let us know to include them during your visit.
Food bank volunteers will direct you through our new process but we ask that you follow provincial social distancing guidelines to help them with this process.
The SUNSCAD Food bank is located in Fountain Campus just around the corner from SUNSCAD’s office!
Our Food bank is supplied by FEED Nova Scotia, and open to all students regardless of financial situation. Every Monday we receive boxes of perishables and non-perishables for you to take on a needs basis with a suggested maximum of 7 items, and no limit for canned vegetables.
Swing by and pick up ingredients for dinner on your way home! The Food Bank’s hours match NSCAD’s, we are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week!
